Present Day was a successful recipient of the Community Broadcasting Foundation’s 2022 Content Grant program. The short film follows a young Filipino artist as he struggles to find a father’s day present. It is scheduled to be released on Channel 31.

Our mission at Strangeworld Studios is to uplift diverse voices on screen and behind the camera. We are proud to say that the majority of cast and crew were from BIPOC and CALD communities. More than 50 per cent of crew members identified as women and everyone on set was paid for their time, challenging the status quo of unpaid work which is common in the film industry for up-and-coming creatives, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
